eCommerce Content Director

Podean is a leading marketplace agency helping brands accelerate growth across Amazon, Walmart, Target, TikTok Shop, and other digital commerce platforms. We combine strategic expertise, data-driven insights, and creative innovation to deliver measurable business outcomes for our clients.

We are seeking an experienced eCommerce Content Director to support our content and creative team, setting goals and priorities that align with Podean's overall vision, and to drive the strategy and execution of content and creative work across a portfolio of marketplace clients. This role helps lead the US content and creative team day-to-day, partners with broader leadership on discipline initiatives, and brings established pitch and client presence to new business and partnership work.

What You'll Do

Strategic planning & ownership

• Translate agency’s broader vision for the discipline into actionable priorities and plans for the content team
• Work closely with other discipline leads to collaborate on cross-disciplinary initiatives
• Stay current on Amazon programs, betas, algorithms, policy updates, and marketplace opportunities
• Develop and implement best practices, SOP improvements, onboarding materials, and training resources

Client management

• Develop and implement comprehensive content and creative strategies aligned with client goals and market trends
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on creative strategy and related issues
• Partner with account managers, content managers and designers to manage creative scope, ensuring efficient allocation of resources

Team leadership & collaboration

• Lead and mentor a team of content managers and specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and regular feedback to elevate performance and long-term success
• Manage the team's workload and cadence, ensuring proper project allocation and overseeing the quality of the team's work
• Inspire the team to work together toward broader discipline initiatives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
• Own performance plans process and deliver performance reviews

Sales development

• Understand the commercials of Amazon creative work, aiding in scoping agency offerings and projects
• Contribute to thought leadership, internal education sessions, and new business pitches
• Support the creation of case studies. 
• Develop new content and creative offerings and products, and vet tools and technology to drive innovation and efficiency

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years experience in content & creative management with strong marketplace expertise
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful content & creative campaigns
• Prior experience managing and mentoring a team, with high standards for ownership and delivery
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms and creative tools
• Strong analytical ability with comfort in Excel/Sheets, creating insights and translating them into strategy
• Growth-oriented and collaborative, with a commercial mindset and genuine interest in developing agency thought leadership
