About The Role:
Your north star: Pomelo is looking for an exceptional and experienced Sales Development Representative to join our growing employer sales team. In this role, you have the opportunity to partner with Pomelo’s most strategic and tenured Account Executives to drive leads with enterprise employers and their consultants.
This role reports to the Sales Development Manager and is open to any candidates located in the continental US.
What you'll do:
- Be responsible for generating high quality net new opportunities - proactively identify and engage with high-potential accounts through strategic cold calling, personalized email sequences and targeted social selling
- Deliver value-driven messaging that engages and entices prospects
- Work closely with AEs and marketing to formulate personalized messaging and collateral that effectively communicates the Pomelo Care value
- Secure meetings with employer buyers at all levels, from C-suite executives to benefits leaders, using creativity and persistence.
- Develop tracking and reporting dashboards in Salesforce and regularly report progress to Sales leadership
- Consistently hit daily, weekly and monthly lead generation targets
- Travel as needed for conferences
Who you are:
- 2+ years of highly successful outbound sales development or lead generation experience, preferably within SaaS, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas.
- Ability to craft persuasive emails and engaging LinkedIn messages and phone conversations is critical
- An achieving, results-driven mindset with ability to thrive autonomously and manage time to have highest impact
- Experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other tools to build target account and contact lists and conduct personalized outreach at scale
- A passion for Pomelo Care’s mission to transform maternal and infant health outcomes by providing personalized, accessible, and virtual care to address the high rates of maternal mortality and morbidity in the United States

Compensation:
The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. This role is also eligible for variable compensation, with expected on-target earnings of $115,000 to $130,000, and equity, giving you an ownership stake in Pomelo’s mission. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies, and certifications.
