The Opportunity

Postman is seeking a highly technical IT System Administrator to join our team. The IT Sys Admin will be on the front lines of Postman’s IT Support systems. You’ll provide world-class tech support to fellow Postmanauts in need of help. As the face of IT, the IT Sys Admin must have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, be self-motivated, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interact with a combination of technical and non-technical departments. The primary task of this position will be to troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, install/configure and support the endpoints, set up workstations within our offices, and assisting with day-to-day operations for Postman’s Global IT infrastructure to provide growth for Postman’s initiatives. This role will require the candidate to be onsite at one of our bay area offices (San Francisco, Berkeley, or Cupertino) three days a week.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide support to remote and on-site users, including onboarding, installing, and upgrading software, Hardware setup, and configuring systems, workstations, and applications.
  • Investigate and diagnose problems quickly and efficiently and coordinate with other engineers or 3rd parties as needed to resolve them.
  • Work closely with team members in different departments and time zones efficiently and effectively.
  • Design, Architect, and administration of enterprise-wide applications used for productivity & collaboration (GSuite, Zoom, Slack, Atlassian, Okta)
  • Create and Update Knowledge base articles and self-service documentation.
  • Account life cycle management from news hires to account/application deactivations.
  • Design and implement efficient and scalable identity and access management solutions and processes
  • Ensure SLA’s are well defined (and met) as related to current and future workload volumes.
  • Independently research and provide both business and technical solutions based on and related to internal customer needs and specifications and deploy them into our production infrastructure.
  • Work with IT leadership by proposing the use of new services to maximize productivity and efficiency.

About You

  • You have 2 to 5 years of experience working with productivity and collaboration toolsets.
  • Solid understanding of SAAS Applications, GSuite, Okta, Slack, Jamf, Intune, Mac OS, and Windows OS.
  • Experience using ITSM tools for ticket tracking Jira, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Ability to perform in-depth research and troubleshooting for complex technical issues.
  • Strong time management and organization skills; able to prioritize multiple requests effectively.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently, identify opportunities and develop new ideas for efficiencies. Desire to learn and grow.

This role will require the candidate to be onsite at one of our Bay Area offices (SF, Berkeley, or Cupertino) three days a week and the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $115,761 - $156,618, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
