The Opportunity
Postman is looking for a driven and curious Growth Account Executive to help us build and scale a new sales motion from the ground up.
As part of our newly formed Growth segment, you’ll own the full sales cycle—from outbound prospecting and discovery to solutioning and close—focused on early-stage startups and high-growth companies with fewer than 250 employees. You'll work directly with technical founders, developers, and platform teams to help them adopt Postman and unlock better ways to build, test, and scale APIs.
This is a foundational role for someone early in their sales career who’s ready to make an outsized impact in a product-led, developer-first environment. You'll have the chance to shape processes, influence go-to-market strategy, and help define what "Growth Sales" at Postman looks like.
What You’ll Do
- Own a full-cycle sales process: prospecting, discovery, demo, solutioning, negotiation, and close.
- Work primarily with companies under 250 employees — from Series A startups to rapidly scaling dev teams.
- Engage technical stakeholders, including founders, CTOs, platform engineers, and DevOps teams.
- Translate developer use cases into clear business value and guide prospects through product evaluations.
- Partner closely with internal partners to ensure a great buyer experience and long-term customer success.
- Stay sharp on APIs, developer tooling, Postman’s roadmap, and broader trends in software development.
- Share learnings and customer feedback internally to help shape go-to-market and product strategy.
- Consistently meet or exceed ARR goals with a focus on healthy long-term growth and expansion.
- Provide a detailed and accurate forecast.
About You
- 1+ years of closing experience in full-cycle SaaS sales.
- A strong interest in technical products — especially APIs, integrations, or developer tools.
- Excited to build — you’re energized by ambiguity, eager to shape new processes, and motivated by the opportunity to help define how Growth Sales operates at Postman.
- Confidence speaking with developers and engineering leaders; you're not afraid to get into the weeds (and you know when to lean on a technical resource).
- Excellent communication skills — you can simplify technical topics and tailor your message to different audiences.
- Bias for action — adaptable, self-motivated, and excited by the pace and ambiguity of high-growth environments.
- Be coachable and a great listener!
- Bonus: Computer Engineering background or degree.
- Bonus: Experience selling to or working at startups, or engaging with dev-centric buyers.
- Bonus: Familiarity with tools like GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, OpenAPI/Swagger, or experience using Postman.
The reasonably estimated compensation range for the role is $100,000 to $110,000 OTE, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

At Postman, we embrace a hybrid work model. For all roles based out of San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Bangalore, Noida, Hyderabad, and New York, employees are expected to come into the office 3-days a week.
