The Opportunity
The purpose of this role is to deliver an employee experience that continually raises the bar. You will also partner seamlessly across functional lines with our Recruiting, Legal, Finance, and IT teams to spot & solve issues and build out processes and policies that scale.
What You’ll Do
- Run the day-to-day HR operations function in the EMEA (including HR systems, immigration, global mobility, and policies) and help scale existing processes for growth and innovation based on business needs
- Manage compliance of UKVI programme and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Maintain our HRIS system (Workday) and keep other HR tools and systems up-to-date, ensuring a high level of data integrity. Participate in system updates and enhancement projects.
- Oversee the Benefits Programs across EMEA countries.
- Maintain relationships with third party pay and benefits brokers
- General Business Reporting (e.g., New Hires, Terminations, etc.)
- Document Management / Retrieval
- Respond to Compliance and Legal Inquiries
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Payroll, Talent Acquisition and other stakeholders to drive efficiencies and simplify workflows
- Partner with Finance/Accounting to manage payroll cycles and other employee compensation
- Function as a subject matter expert and People Operations representative for most employee inquiries
- Ensure that we are positioned to scale quickly and efficiently to meet the needs of the business.
- As a member of the People team, uphold and promote Postman’s values; handle sensitive employee relations issues as needed; and support employee engagement initiatives
About you
- A minimum of 5 years of general people operations experience or HR generalist experience
- Excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to execute on large volumes of work.
- An HRIS and systems guru (Rippling, Workday, DEEL, Zendesk, Greenhouse, or similar systems) with a strong focus on tech based HR solutions and AI platforms.
- Process-driven problem solver, content with ambiguity and being in the weeds
- Empathy and emotional intelligence to build alignment and strong relationships with employees and internal and external stakeholders
- High integrity and maturity to handle confidential information and sensitive situations in a way that builds trust
- Experience of working in the EMEA region
Nice to have
- Experience scaling HR operations at a small to mid-sized start-up in a growth stage (you have startup hustle and can also think around corners to the next stage of growth)
- One or more European languages (German, French, Spanish preferred)
- Experience working for a US based Company

At Postman we value in person collaboration. We are in office 5 days a week for all roles based out of our hubs in San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, New York City, Tokyo and London. For roles based in Bangalore, employees currently work in the office three days a week and will transition to five days per week by the end of the year. We were thoughtful in our approach which is based on collaboration and grounded in feedback from our workforce, leadership team, and peers. The benefits of our in office model will be shared knowledge, brainstorming sessions, communication, and building trust in-person that cannot be replicated via zoom.
