A day in the life:
You will possess a strong analytical mindset, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and the technical skills necessary to transform raw data into actionable insights. As an Analytics Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain analytics solutions that drive business value and inform strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering, processing, and analyzing large datasets from multiple sources to extract meaningful insights
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
- Design, implement, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures for efficient data retrieval and manipulation
- Support the development and implementation of machine learning models and algorithms for predictive analytics and data mining
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate analytics solutions into existing systems and applications
- Create and maintain documentation for analytics processes, data models, and technical specifications
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in analytics, data engineering, and machine learning
Role Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with cloud databases (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake)
- Knowledge of data modeling principles and experience with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., DBT)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language for data analysis and manipulation (e.g., Python, R)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and experience creating interactive dashboards and reports
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Data Accuracy: Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data pipelines and analytics outputs
- Timeliness: Meeting deadlines for data processing, analysis, and reporting.
- Efficiency: Optimizing data processes to reduce processing time and resource utilization
- Data Accessibility: Making sure data is easily accessible to stakeholders for analysis and decision-making
- Solution Quality: Developing high-quality analytics solutions that provide valuable insights to the business
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Ensuring that stakeholders are satisfied with the analytics products and services provided

- Data Pipeline Development: Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Data Modeling: Building and optimizing data models to support reporting, analysis, and data visualization
- Analytics Tool Proficiency: Mastery of analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, or specialized analytics platforms
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve complex data-related problems efficiently
- Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers, to deliver impactful analytics solutions
- Continuous Learning: Keeping up-to-date with advancements in analytics technologies and methodologies to improve skills and stay relevant in the field
