Designer
Produce quality communication vehicles. Electronically design print and digital materials in a creative, innovative, and cost-effective manor, while exceeding the expectations of all our internal and external customers
Essential Functions:
Design
- Design in a range of visual styles as appropriate for different clients and mediums
- Flow and re-flow layout, resizing art, version campaigning, concept and logo execution, and create PPT presentations that are clean, engaging and dynamic
- Design and produce print and digital pieces that align with branding guidelines
- Research and develop conceptual graphic design and/or illustration for assigned projects and submit to Creative Director for internal review; submit final to Project Management for proofing
- Consult with the Associate Creative Director or Creative Director to evaluate specifications for individual project needs
- Consult with Project Management and other agency team members as necessary to confirm/establish timing, due dates, and production specifications
Concepting
- Assist in the design of an established concept as needed
- Work with the art directors to help bring a concept to life
- Demonstrate an understanding of a creative concept to ensure the design solves are purposeful and thoughtful
Presenting
- Present the tactics to the internal team
Team Interaction/Management
- Attend Creative and Production meetings
- Archive completed projects to appropriate media
- Assist with related special projects as needed
Product and Content
- Thoroughly understand product category and competitors, as well as key data sets
Strategy
- Remain focused on details, but take initiative in building understanding of bigger picture of clients’ objectives and initiatives
Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required, in design, preferred, and appropriate portfolio
Minimum Required Work Experience:
3+ years graphic design experience in a design studio or advertising or marketing agency
Other Requirements (e.g. Skills):
- Understanding of color theory, typography, and visual communication principles—such as logo design best practices, layout creation, and design for print and web
- Knowledge of infographic design and basic data visualization
- Proficiency of Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, Acrobat)
- Proficiency of Figma
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Mac OS
