Are you an experienced SharePoint Administrator looking to support a Global Organization?  Do you have a deep understanding of SharePoint access management and governance tools?  Our Modern Workplace team is hiring a SharePoint Administrator to help us grow our Modern Workplace tools and enable enhanced collaboration and productivity capabilities for our company.

THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE OPPORTUNITY, but job seekers must currently reside in Costa Rica.

 About You:

  • You have deep experience and a passion for SharePoint Online Ecosystem.
  • You have experience working across an Enterprise IT Organization to administer, deliver and execute action plans for improvements across SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Teams, and other M365 services.

 About The Role:

  • Key contributor in administration and support of our M365 collaboration infrastructure. Role requires strong hands-on experience supporting M365 services with focus on SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive administration to provide day-to-day support and management.
  • Focus areas include analyzing and improving SharePoint permission structures, optimizing sites according to Microsoft modern architecture best practices, providing governance reports to management, and documenting are all expected.
  • Exposure to governance solutions that would direct Microsoft's AI offerings including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio. PowerShell scripting for efficient tenant administration required.
  • Responsible for capacity planning and lifecycle management of SharePoint environment leveraging ShareGate, AvePoint, and other 3rd party offerings where possible.
  • Work closely with help desk technicians for resolutions to escalated tickets and training on new features. 
  • Work closely with security operations to maintain proper security posture. Focus on security requirements when designing a solution.
  • Migrating workloads end-to-end from on-premise to cloud or cloud to cloud using ShareGate.
  • Reporting on cloud licensing and resource utilization in order to preserve costs a plus.
  • Passion for Microsoft 365 cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrates initiative, a "can-do" spirit, ownership, meets commitments and delivers results.
  • Thorough knowledge, understanding, and experience with Microsoft 365 admin centers.
  • Knowledge and awareness of supporting M365 services including Entra, Viva Suite, Lists, Planner, Forms, Stream, Power Platform and other ancillary products. M365 Copilot experience a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks in order to deliver based on deadlines.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between engineering and helpdesk in order to support and automate critical business processes.
  • Problem-solving, detail oriented, communication skills (verbal and written), multi-tasking, analytical skills, patience, and flexibility.
  • Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell, Graph API, Power Platform, and other programming languages or platforms.
  • Experience working with international teams and different time zone
  • Strong in technical troubleshooting and the use of troubleshooting utilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Advanced Excel skills including the ability to produce graphs and tables, use spreadsheets efficiently, and perform calculations and automation to process large volumes of data. Power BI experience a plus.

Required Experience:

Education: Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or an equivalent combination of education & experience.

  • Microsoft Certification not required but a plus

 Work Experience:       

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 suite and its products, focusing on SharePoint and Teams.
  • 2+ years of migrating SharePoint content libraries using tools such as Sharegate or equivalent.
  • Experience with AvePoint tools and services a plus.
  • 2+ years of modernizing permissions around M365 content for least privilege access.
  • 2+ years of automation around M365 processes.
  • 2+ years migrating on-premise workloads to M365 and cleaning up stale data post migration.
