Co-Op Assignment Overview

Prime Medicine is seeking a co-op for the Fall 2025 semester with experience in Biology and/or Health-related sciences to join the Clinical Development team. The Prime Medicine clinical development team is a tight knit, closely collaborative, highly creative group working to make the promise of Prime Editing a reality for patients with severe genetic diseases.  The qualified candidate will be highly motivated, organized and collegial.  The candidate will be involved in the process of operationalizing clinical trials of gene therapy for patients with genetic diseases.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Learning from and assisting the operations team in managing a clinical trial
  • Participate in internal and external cross-functional study meetings; assist with meeting preparation, scheduling, and meeting minute taking and review
  • Communicate with study sites to assist with patient visit scheduling, ensuring necessary study materials are delivered on time, patient sample tracking, and ensuring data entry is on-track for study deliverables
  • Assist with maintaining study files, updating study materials (patient brochures, Informed Consent Forms, study manuals), and tracking of study deliverables and activities

Qualifications:

  • B.S or B.A. candidate for Biology or a Health sciences field, or similar
  • Excellent analytical and written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfort with basic statistical concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Course work in medical sciences, and/or familiarity with medical terminology
  • Basic understanding of cellular and molecular biology underlying gene therapy
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint
