Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer

United States

Prismatic is the integration platform that helps B2B software companies build integrations fast and deliver them at scale. We're turning integrations from a bottleneck into a growth driver for hundreds of companies, from high-growth startups to Fortune 500s.

Our platform handles everything that breaks at scale, so teams can ship integrations, not infrastructure. It provides flexible, AI-enabled build experiences through code-native, low-code, and an embedded workflow builder, plus self-service configuration and an embedded marketplace.

Prismatic is well-funded with strong product-market fit and a high-agency, driven, collaborative culture.

About the role:

Our customers are software companies. Every single one of them is looking for a better way to build, deploy, and manage the integrations their customers depend on. We're hiring a Solutions Engineer to partner closely with our sales team, run the technical side of the deal, and help prospects see how Prismatic fits into their world. You'll lead demos, scope and execute POCs, advise prospects through evaluation, and own the technical narrative from first conversation through close.

Our Solutions Engineers are technical enough to debug a webhook in real time and commercial enough to navigate a Fortune 500 procurement cycle. They thrive in the gap between engineering and sales, equally comfortable in a CTO's office and on a customer's Slack channel.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Account Executives through the full sales cycle: discovery, demo, POC, technical close
  • Become a domain expert on Prismatic's platform, including our Code Native Integration (CNI) TypeScript SDK, embedded marketplace, and integration workflow builder, so you can run a credible conversation with engineering leaders and ICs alike
  • Lead technical demos and proof-of-concept work that translates Prismatic's capabilities into a prospect's specific integration pain
  • Scope and run POCs end-to-end: set success criteria, drive customer engagement, prove out the build
  • Translate complex technical concepts for non-technical executive audiences, and translate business priorities back to engineering teams (yours and theirs)
  • Own technical content during deals: RFPs, security questionnaires, architecture deep-dives
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support to remove blockers and accelerate deals
  • Feed customer signal back to Product and Marketing to influence roadmap and positioning
  • Build and contribute reusable assets (demos, playbooks, technical content) to scale the SE function

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a solutions, sales, or pre-sales engineering role at a B2B software company
  • Hands-on experience with APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks), authentication patterns (OAuth, API keys), and at least one programming language. TypeScript or JavaScript a plus; they're our SDK's native tongue.
  • Proven ability to lead technical conversations with both engineering ICs and executive buyers
  • Comfortable running discovery, scoping POCs, and managing the technical side of a deal from first conversation through close
  • Fluent with modern AI tooling (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or equivalent) and curious about how it's reshaping technical sales work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Able to make complex things sound simple.
  • Self-directed and biased toward action. Comfortable with ambiguity, ownership-oriented, ready to ship.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience at a B2B SaaS or developer-tools company
  • Prior embedded iPaaS or integration platform experience
  • Prior software engineering experience. Our customers are developers, and they regularly ask SEs for guidance on CI/CD, deployment patterns, observability, and engineering best practices.
  • Built integrations professionally (not just demoed them). Bonus if you've shipped TypeScript or Node-based integration code.
  • Built or customized your own AI workflows (custom prompts, agents, plugins, automations)

The pay range for this role is...

  • Base salary: $150,000-$175,000, depending on experience; plus equity

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
