Technical Delivery Manager – Healthcare, Release Management & AI
We are looking for an outcome-oriented, commercially minded Delivery Manager to run the execution and scaling of our patient services hub platforms. You will own the answer to one question: is it going to ship when we said it would? Releases, features, integrations, and fixes - on time, at quality, in a compliance-heavy environment where a missed date has a downstream cost to patients waiting on therapy.
This is the operational engine of our technology organization. You will be the connective tissue between the Product Owner, who decides what gets built, and the developers who build it - while keeping work synchronized with our AI Lead, data team, and IT operations group. Externally, you are the delivery counterpart to our Implementation leaders.
We expect you to work with AI, not around it. The team runs on Jira, Confluence, and Rovo and uses Claude and Claude Code in its daily practice. We want less manual ticket maintenance and status assembly and more forward-looking signal - earlier risk detection, better forecasting, dependencies surfaced before they reach a developer. You will help build that capability rather than inherit it finished.
Status reporting exists to provide transparency into where things stand, not to fill a meeting. The same applies to process: we want agile practice tailored to a fast-moving, highly regulated healthcare business rather than a framework followed by the book. All of it in service of our mission to remove barriers between patients and the care they need.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
- On-Time Delivery: Own delivery predictability and execution against commitments. Plan, sequence, and drive sprint and release execution so that features, enhancements, integrations, and fixes land when promised - and when a date is at risk, surface it early with options rather than late with an explanation.
- Delivery Flow & Execution Discipline: Actively manage work from sprint commitment through completion. Maintain visibility to work in progress, aging items, blockers, handoffs, carry-over, and unplanned work; intervene early when execution drifts. Establish and reinforce clear ownership, estimation, status, and definition-of-done practices so work does not stall silently or move outside the delivery process.
- Release and Environment Coordination: Own release planning and readiness across development, sandbox, UAT, and production, ensuring required approvals, deployment plans, rollback plans, environment readiness, and post-deployment verification are coordinated and completed.
- Cross-Functional Dependency Management: Map, manage, and unblock dependencies across the Product Owner, development team, AI Lead, data team, IT Ops, and external integrations. Work ahead of the team to surface technical and operational dependencies early, sequence shared work deliberately, and prevent dependencies from colliding mid-sprint or threatening delivery commitments.
- Vendor and Partner Coordination: Serve as the technical and delivery counterpart to Implementation in engagements with pharma brand partners, specialty pharmacies, and data vendors - tracking third-party commitments, integration readiness, and the external dependencies that affect our dates.
- Capacity and Contract Resourcing: Forecast team capacity against committed and anticipated demand, accounting for PTO, production support, unplanned work, dependencies, and competing initiatives. Partner with the Product Owner to establish realistic sprint and release commitments. Decide when to augment with contract resources, then own their onboarding, workload, throughput, and quality - and the utilization data behind staffing and budget decisions.
- AI-Assisted Delivery Operations: Use Jira, Confluence, Rovo, Claude, and Claude Code to reduce manual tracking and reporting effort and to strengthen risk visibility, forecasting accuracy, and early blocker detection across the delivery pipeline.
- Compliance-Gated Execution: Ensure deployment schedules, data flows, and platform changes align with HIPAA, TCPA, OIG guidance, and organizational change management and security policy - with traceable records of work, approvals, and deployments.
- Transparent Delivery Reporting: Report in plain language on progress, release timing, risk, and trade-offs, and track the measures that show whether delivery is actually improving: on-time release rate, cycle and lead time, carry-over, unplanned work, and escaped defects.
- Pragmatic Agile Leadership: Facilitate planning, refinement, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives in whatever form serves the work. Coach the team on breakdown, estimation, and definition-of-done discipline, protect focus from mid-sprint churn, and turn retrospective findings into changes that stick.
Skills & Requirements:
