The Senior Accountant I Role at PublicSquare
The Senior Accountant I is responsible for overseeing various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. The Senior Accountant I will also assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and audits, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and corporate credit card transactions utilizing Yooz and Ramp.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate recording of transactions in general ledger
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and review of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Intacct, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient with Google Suite helpful
  • Strong understanding of USGAAP
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
