Salary: Competitive, based on NHS Band 6 pay scale
Working Hours: 4 days per week
Contract Length: 3 months


Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Oncology Dietitian to join the Head and Neck oncology team at Guy’s Hospital. This acute role involves providing specialist nutritional support to patients undergoing treatment for head and neck cancers. The successful candidate will be confident working in a dynamic clinical environment and delivering high-quality care as part of a multidisciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
• Provide nutritional assessment and management for patients within the Head and Neck oncology service.
• Develop and implement individualised dietary care plans in collaboration with the wider clinical team.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutritional interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
• Participate in relevant clinical meetings and liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.


Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:
• A recognised degree in Dietetics.
• HCPC registration.
• Experience in oncology dietetics, ideally within an acute hospital setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a specialist caseload.
