Firmware Test Development Engineer, Systems Engineering

You will be
- Designing and implementing tests for Pure Storage’s DirectFlash™ SSD Modules
- Coding and testing in Python, Cython and C/C++
- Enabling new hardware bringup and verifying software functionality
- Investigating and debugging issues, and developing failure analysis tools and process
- Developing internal automation tools including continuous integration, automated unit and regression testing
- Working closely with Hardware, Firmware, system software and manufacturing teams
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong understanding of software/firmware test and release processes
- Strong experience with Software Development Lifecycle and related methodologies
- Experience using Python, C/C++ or related programming languages
- Familiar with Linux, SCM (git), jenkins or other CI/CD automation tools.
- Familiar with embedded software or firmware development
- Experience with Micro-controllers, SoC, or hardware bring-up
- Good verbal communication & collaboration skill.
- Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.
You will be based in Santa Clara. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need. The annual base salary range is: $163,000.00 – $246,000.00. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
