At Pure Storage, we are revolutionizing data storage and management to deliver exceptional results for our clients. Our in-house Corporate Events team plays a critical role in showcasing our brand, fostering connections, and driving business impact through memorable and flawlessly executed events.
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Corporate Events Manager with the expertise to independently manage large-scale, international programs with up to 2,000 attendees. SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
- Lead Large-Scale Events: Plan and execute multi-day conferences and roadshows, managing all aspects of event logistics, including venue sourcing, AV, F&B, registration, and attendee experience.
- Event Management: Ensure flawless execution, quality of service and timely delivery of all necessary components, properties, and materials for each event.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Organize and lead planning meetings across time zones with cross-functional teams (e.g., product marketing, corporate marketing) and drive alignment on objectives.
- Vendor Management: Source, negotiate, and oversee contracts with multiple vendors, including venues, decorators, AV providers, catering, and show unions.
- Budget Oversight: Develop, manage, and reconcile event budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
- Attendee Experience: Drive innovation by conceptualizing unique, industry-leading event ideas that elevate the Pure Storage brand and bring it to life onsite.
- On-Site Management: Serve as the primary point of contact during events, overseeing setup, live execution, and teardown. Coordinate transportation, after-hours activities, and other on-site logistics.
- Event Communication: Create and manage comprehensive event materials, including overviews, staffing schedules, survival guides, and training resources.
- Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event surveys and ROI analyses to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Build Relationships: Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, senior executives, and external vendors.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- Experience: 10+ years in corporate events management, with proven experience managing large international programs (up to 2,000 attendees) and complex logistics.
- In-House Expertise: Prior experience working in an in-house event management model with minimal reliance on third-party event management companies.
- Event Technology: Proficiency with event tech platforms such as Cvent, Zoom, Marketo, and mobile event apps. Experience with Google Suite is essential.
- Budget Mastery: Demonstrated ability to develop and reconcile large event budgets.
- Stakeholder Management: Skilled at balancing the needs of internal stakeholders, customers, and partners while meeting tight deadlines.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 20% and adapt to working non-traditional hours, including weekends, as needed.
- Certifications: University/ College degree, CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or Program Management Certification is a plus.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the {{OFFICE_LOCATION}} office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
The annual base salary range is: $149,000 – $224,000.
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
