THE ROLE

As a Python Software Engineer within the Analytics Platform DTG team, you will be at the forefront of building the data backbone that powers our next generation of Business Intelligence and AI-driven operations. This is not just a backend role; it is an opportunity to bridge the gap between core software engineering and the emerging world of Agentic AI. You will be the architect of scalable data processes that transform raw information into high-impact insights and AI-ready datasets. Collaborating closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and business stakeholders, you will ensure our infrastructure is robust, reliable, and capable of supporting complex automated evaluations. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Engineer Scalable Data Services: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and Python applications that serve as the foundation for our data platform and AI-driven workflows.
• Architect Data Governance & Access: Integrate diverse data platforms to automate access management and governance at scale, ensuring secure and seamless data flow across the organization.
• Ensure System Reliability: Define and track critical Data SLAs/SLOs, implementing proactive alerting and monitoring to identify anomalies before they impact downstream BI reports or AI models.
• Drive AI Readiness: Collaborate on AI engineering initiatives by prototyping agentic workflows and structuring datasets specifically for LLM consumption and automated evaluation.
• Bridge Business & Tech: Translate complex business requirements into technical integration solutions, working with both third-party ingestion tools and in-house data infrastructure.
• Optimize Performance: Participate in debugging and performance tuning of distributed systems to ensure high availability and reliability during core business hours.
• Collaborate Globally: Work across time zones with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, report progress, and support the broader AI adoption journey within the engineering community.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Software Engineering Expertise: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a mastery of Python and experience building production-grade backend services.
• Data Lifecycle Mastery: A solid understanding of data modeling, transformation, and lifecycle management, with the ability to handle both structured and unstructured data.
• Cloud & Systems Fluency: Hands-on experience working with APIs and distributed systems within major cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• AI Curiosity & Aptitude: A strong interest or foundational experience in AI/ML systems, including familiarity with LLMs and the conceptual framework of Agentic AI.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: The ability to translate abstract business goals into concrete technical solutions while maintaining a high bar for data integrity and quality.
• As a plus: Open Source & Tooling Affinity: Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (like LangChain), observability tools (like Langfuse), or experience contributing to Open/Inner Source communities.
• Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czech Republic office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
