THE ROLE
The Digital Experience (DX) team is on a mission to simplify enterprise fleet management through intelligent, cloud-native solutions. As a Software Engineer within our Octillion service team in Prague, you will own the engine that transforms tens of terabytes of daily telemetry logs into actionable insights within Snowflake. This is a high-impact role where your work directly ensures data reliability for our global support, engineering, and production ecosystems. Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will drive architectural enhancements to reduce operational costs, boost service security, and deliver a seamless, AI-driven asset management experience for our customers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the Data Lifecycle: Design, develop, and operate mission-critical processing services, managing the full application lifecycle to ensure high-availability data pipelines.
- Optimize Architecture: Drive continuous architectural improvements to reduce operational costs, maximize cloud infrastructure efficiency, and streamline customer onboarding.
- Enhance Service Reliability: Improve data processing frameworks to minimize troubleshooting capacity, ensuring critical telemetry data is consistently accurate and accessible.
- Secure the Platform: Innovate secure and compliant methods for handling massive volumes of customer data, implementing robust security protocols across cloud services.
- Collaborate and Deliver: Partner with peer engineering teams and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable production-ready solutions.
- Elevate Engineering Standards: Champion best practices across the team by leading code reviews, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and writing robust unit tests and documentation.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Backend Engineering Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and testing core product components using modern backend languages (such as Python, Java, or Golang).
- Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge: Proven capability deploying and managing scalable cloud applications within AWS, including a solid grasp of Kubernetes and cloud networking infrastructure.
- Software Fundamentals: A strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and secure software development lifecycles to build resilient backend systems.
- Collaborative Mindset: A track record of thriving in a team-oriented environment, with an eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks as our stack evolves.
- Data Pipeline background in data engineering, specifically with log processing, ETL frameworks, and hands-on experience utilizing cloud databases (such as Snowflake or PostgreSQL) nice to have
- Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague, Czech Republic office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
