Technical Account Manager - API / Integrations
About the Role
Pushpay is seeking a highly skilled Technical Account Manager (TAM). This role is key in fostering strong relationships between our internal development teams, our valued customers, and third-party integration vendors. The TAM will ensure seamless communication and coordination to deliver outstanding technical solutions, improve customer satisfaction, and drive the overall success of our platform integrations.
The ideal candidate will have both technical acumen and excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional relationships and troubleshoot issues proactively.

- Compensation Range: $117,224-$130,249
Compensation ranges are determined by role and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the pay range for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer and vendor technical teams, acting as their trusted advisor on API integration best practices.
- Work closely with the Director of Technology Partnerships to identify prospective customers for API integrations, provide technical expertise, and help close new business opportunities.
- Own and manage the API integration process for customers and third-party vendors, from initial onboarding and technical scoping to implementation, support, and post-integration optimization.
- Collaborate with customers and vendors to gather technical requirements, ensuring integrations align with business objectives and technical specifications.
- Lead technical discussions with customers, vendors, and internal teams to design, implement, and optimize API integrations.
- Collaborate with third-party teams to troubleshoot integration problems and ensure that vendor solutions align with customer needs and expectations.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting integration issues, providing both proactive and reactive support.
- Develop deep technical knowledge of our platform and its features to act as an expert resource for customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to plan and execute API releases, enhancements, and bug fixes, ensuring minimal disruption to customers and vendors.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to customers and vendors to troubleshoot API-related issues and ensure successful integration and adoption.
- Analyze API usage patterns and identify opportunities for optimization, scaling, or improvements in performance, ensuring that integrations are as efficient as possible.
- Lead cross-functional projects related to API integrations, ensuring that all stakeholders (customers, vendors, internal teams) are aligned on timelines, deliverables, and expectations.
- Track and report on key metrics related to API usage, integrations revenue, integration performance, and customer/vendor satisfaction, providing regular updates to management and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Customer Success team to identify upsell opportunities and ensure customers are fully utilizing API features to derive maximum value.
- Work alongside engineering leadership to manage relationships and projects with third party.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in API management, integration, or technical account management in a SaaS environment.
- Proven track record of working with external vendors, customers, and internal teams to successfully deliver API integrations.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with common integration protocols (REST, SOAP, Webhooks, GraphQL) and technologies (OAuth, API keys, JWT, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple API integration projects simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with API tools and platforms (Postman, Swagger, Apigee, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and test API-related technical issues.
- Familiarity with developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git).
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer will be required. This role consistently operates standard office equipment such as computers and phones. This is largely a sedentary role but may occasionally require lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, or standing as necessary.
