About Your Role
The Accountant will be responsible for assisting and leading monthly close including preparing journal entries, variance analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, and ad-hoc financial analyses as assigned. This position will develop subject matter expertise in a variety of areas and lead the analysis of those areas. The position is responsible for working with cross-functional accounting teams to ensure an accurate and timely close.This is a hybrid opportunity, you must be able to come into the ATL office 3 days a week.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsible for monthly close process in the assigned area
- Prepare reconciliations of accounts, investigate reconciliation items and resolve the timely.
- Prepare flux analysis
- Liaise with AP, Payroll, Billing/Revenue, Collections, and other teams as required.
- Assists with Ad-hoc financial analyses as assigned.
- Assist with post integration general ledger accounting for acquired companies
- Lead Process improvement, participate in training initiatives
- Assists with coordination of the annual external audit.
- Responds to all inquiries in a timely manner.
- Other tasks as assigned by management.
Who You Are
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- An accountant with maturity, grit and ability to work on own initiative in fast paced environment while maintaining quality of work and effective working relationships with both internal and external customers
Experience You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 1-2 years of experience in General Ledger accounting preferred; would consider recent college graduate with relevant internship experience
- Strong data and Excel skills
Not Required, But Nice to Have
- Prior experience working at a public accounting firm
