Senior Product Marketing Manager

The Senior Product Marketing Manager, Applications Portfolio will play a pivotal role in defining and executing strategies to effectively drive adoption and utilization of Quantum-SI’s sequencing platform and products across key growth segments. We are seeking a seasoned Product Marketing Manager with strong proteomics applications domain knowledge that can leverage their deep understanding of customer needs, and technical acumen to develop compelling product requirements, positioning and messaging, effective go-to-market strategies and who can lead cross-functional programs to achieve business goals. 
 
 

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:  

  • Product Management: Takes ownership of the application product portfolio success and contribute to continuous improvement throughout their life cycle.  Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, sales and marketing, to align product strategies, ensure successful product launches, and drive overall business success.  Serves core team as primary customer advocate through product development, driving tradeoff decisions in favor of the customer and business priorities. Interfaces with manufacturing operations, quality and planning on product issues to ensure products meet customer expectations. 
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develops go-to-market strategy for applications portfolio. Champions development and execution of new product introduction, ensuring seamless coordination across functions to achieve successful product launches. Responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive portfolio/product strategy that includes product requirements, pricing strategy and launch logistics to accomplish business objectives in key segments. 
  • Competitive Analysis: Partners with market insights to conduct in-depth analysis of competitors, their products, positioning strategies, pricing models, and go-to-market tactics to win in target application areas. Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to inform our positioning strategy in key growth segments. Analyze competitive activity and barriers to product adoption, developing strategies to overcome these challenges. 
  • Market Research: Assesses market needs and gaps, opportunities and trends, and technology landscape for application portfolio in partnership with market insights team.  Possess a deep understanding of the target market, customer needs, and industry trends. Stays updated on market dynamics and competitive landscape to inform effective marketing strategies.  
  • Positioning Strategy: Develop and refine product positioning strategies defining where to play and how to win with compelling market offerings. Ensure alignment with overall business objectives and customer needs. Collaborate across commercial team to deliver a winning marketing mix, sales tools and market initiatives. Connect campaigns to product capabilities and differentiators to increase awareness and new customer acquisition. 
  • Messaging Development: Craft compelling messaging and value propositions that articulate the unique benefits of our products compared to competitors. Develop clear, concise, and impactful messaging frameworks tailored to various target audiences and channels. 
  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality marketing collateral, including sales enablement materials, presentations, website content, and case studies, to drive adoption of our products. 
  • Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with the necessary tools, training, and resources to effectively communicate our competitive positioning and value proposition to prospects and customers. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure consistent messaging and alignment in partnership with corporate marketing.  

 

Qualifications 

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or PhD a plus. 
  • Minimum of 10+ years of industry experience in Product Management. 
  • Direct experience in proteomics applications is required  
  • Demonstrated experience for new product development and management of on market products in the life sciences field is a plus 
  • Ability to own both long-term strategy and executional detail 
  • Must have strong analytical skills – ability to tie detailed analysis to larger strategy and make data driven decisions is critical 
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to contribute valuable insights into the product roadmap. 
  • Sound business judgment and discretion for managing projects; ability to develop and execute against dynamic timelines 
  • Ability to solve problems informed by robust analysis and multiple data points 
  • Ability to influence people and diverse stakeholder groups  
  • Must be able to build credibility and relationships across functions and levels 
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, in both oral and written communication with executive-level presentation experience 
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% including occasional weekends and international travel. 

 

Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!): 

  • Technical knowledge of proteomics, genomics, sequencing and molecular biology products is desired 
  • Experience in hardware product development is desirable. 

 

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $ 175,000- $195,000 Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
