Implementation Project Manager Role Overview:

As a SaaS Implementation Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and successful onboarding experience for new customers to our point-of-sale software and hardware solutions. You will be responsible for proactively engaging with your assigned customers to complete the tasks and milestones for the customer to go-live on their new systems within the expected go-live timeline and scope of the project plan.

  • Own the onboarding project lifecycle, from kickoff to go-live, ensuring projects stay on track, meet deadlines, and launch successfully.
  • Engage the customer via phone, electronic communication,  or virtual meetings to ensure implementation within the scope and timeline of  the project plan. 
  • Define actionable next steps for customer while holding yourself and the customer to deadlines to complete tasks in an efficient manner. 
  • Drive each implementation to completion, proactively managing risks, removing roadblocks, and ensuring that our customers stay engaged throughout the process.
  • Manage schedules, activities, and communications with customers through the onboarding process and keep the project and customer on track to complete the implementation project within the scope and timeline of the project plan. 

This role is full-time in our office in Provo, UT, Dubuque, IA, Peachtree Corners (ATL), GA, Charlotte, NC, or Riverside, CA.

Your role as a Rain Retail Implementation Specialist is pivotal in shaping the customer journey and fostering long-term relationships with our valued clients. Your dedication to their success will be the foundation upon which we build trust and loyalty.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in customer onboarding or implementation environments within a SaaS or software company, with a strong focus on proactively managing projects and go-live execution within a budgeted timeline
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to break down complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance for customers of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Strong project management expertise, including the ability to set clear expectations, track progress, and drive onboarding projects to successful completion.
  • Customer-centric mindset, with a passion for helping businesses succeed by understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to quickly grasp and demonstrate software functionality.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and customer support tools.
  • Proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, balancing priorities while ensuring a high level of customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Willingness to accommodate different customer time zones and schedules as needed during the onboarding phase.
  • Capacity to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Support teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, sharing best practices, insights, and feedback to refine onboarding processes and enhance customer success outcomes.
