Location & Remote Work:
Our technology team operates under a "remote-first" model, which means we work from home and can live anywhere in Brazil. We also offer the option of working from our São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces, up to twice a week.

About the Team:
As Entry-Level Software Engineer at QuintoAndar, your responsibilities include:

Development & Ownership: Be responsible for the development, testing, and deployment of your assigned features, ensuring they correctly interact with other services within the team's domain;

Collaboration: Participate actively in domain and architecture discussions, engaging with your mentor and tech lead to discuss problems and find the best solutions;

Agile Mindset: Work with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and contribute to team process improvements;
-
Quality & Reliability: Ensure high delivery quality by following good software development practices, participating in code reviews, and maintaining a focus on scalable solutions that don't compromise the long-term strategy;

Troubleshooting: Provide technical input for prioritizing bug fixes and evaluating solution options with guidance from senior engineers;

Operational Excellence: Handle incidents and debug issues with a learning mindset, helping the team improve the ecosystem's reliability.
Seniority Level: This position is focused on an Entry-Level Software Engineer role. We are looking for professionals who have a solid foundation in software engineering and are ready to take the next step in their careers, taking more ownership of features while learning from a high-performance environment.
Requirements (What we are looking for):

Previous Experience: Proven experience in software development (internships or previous junior roles), preferably working with Agile practices;

Tech Stack: Language Agnostic Mindset - Solid experience with at least one modern back-end language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Go, Python, Node.js, etc.). We value your engineering fundamentals more than a specific syntax;

Foundations: Solid knowledge of software engineering fundamentals: version control (Git), automated testing (Unit/Integration), and clean code;

Problem Solving: Ability to suggest technical decisions and address impacts of product/architecture decisions within your scope;

Communication: Proactive communication to align solutions with mentors and stakeholders;

Languages: Technical reading and writing english skills (Intermediate). Most of our documentation and code are in English.
You'll stand out if you:

Have experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure);

Understand how modern CI/CD pipelines work;

Have basic knowledge of containers (Docker/Kubernetes);

Have an interest in distributed systems and database performance;

Are always seeking to improve modeling and business logic to better the overall ecosystem.
