Wholesale Distribution Analyst

quip is looking for a Wholesale Distribution Analyst to help take quip’s retail operations to the next level. This role will work within the Distribution team, partnering with quip’s 3PL along with Business Development, Sales, Planning, and Finance to support growth initiatives. Your contributions will help ensure on-time shipping, minimal chargebacks, cost reduction, and overall customer experience.  

The Distribution team is part of the Operations Department that aims to drive efficiency, cost reductions, and quality service. Members of Distribution oversee the flow of goods from our 3PL warehouses to our end consumers and retail partners.

This is a remote role but will be asked to come to our NYC offices two times per year. 

Base Salary: $40k to $60k

This range represents anticipated base salary range for this position, in addition to competitive benefits and equity (as applicable). We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including location, role-related knowledge, experience and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations.

Responsibilities

Order Management & Systems Integrity

  • Omnichannel Order Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end processing of EDI and manual orders, ensuring seamless data transmission and 100% accuracy from entry to fulfillment.
  • Systems Synchronization: Audit and manage the data flow into our 3PL’s WMS (S1C), serving as the internal lead for system integrity and real-time inventory/order status updates.
  • Warehouse Liaison: Act as the primary link between the corporate office and the warehouse to reconcile discrepancies and ensure physical stock aligns with system records.

Fulfillment & Logistics Excellence

  • OTIF Compliance (On-Time, In-Full): Monitor the Open Orders Report daily to prioritize shipments, mitigate delays, and uphold rigorous OTIF standards for all accounts.
  • Documentation Architecture: Oversee the lifecycle of order documentation, including Invoices and Bills of Lading (BOLs), ensuring all technical and paperwork requirements meet specific retailer compliance standards.
  • Logistics Support: Partner with the Distribution team to troubleshoot bottlenecks in manual and EDI workflows, ensuring every order meets its "Must Ship By" deadline.

Stakeholder Relations & Reporting

  • Retailer Point of Contact: Serve as a point of contact for internal sales teams and external retail partners, proactively communicating order status, resolving logistical hurdles, and managing account-specific requirements.
  • Performance Analytics: Synthesize complex data into actionable Weekly and Monthly Reports, specifically focusing on fill rates, vendor performance metrics, and distribution efficiency.
  • Strategic Flexibility: Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for special projects to adapt to evolving distribution needs and business growth.

Requirements

  • 2+ years directly relevant experience (CPG operations and supply chain)
  • 1+ years managing 3PL and retail partner relationships
  • Comprehensive understanding of retailers and B2B supply chains
  • Familiarity with Third-Party logistics systems 
  • Experience with BI tools, ERP and EDI systems (preferably Netsuite and SPS Commerce)
  • Experience with BI tools (Looker or Tableau)
  • Excited by continuous improvement and is process-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in an environment where self-direction and initiative are highly encouraged
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to keep digging until you have reached the best answer
  • Strong attention to detail with effective prioritization and organization skills
  • Comfortable making informed decisions with imperfect or incomplete information
  • Proactive and effective communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
