R&D Specialist \ Lab Technician

Job Summary
As an R&D Specialist, you will execute tests and experiments in a research environment, recording data, running equipment, and acting as a core member of Rangeview's materials R&D team. A successful candidate for this role will demonstrate determination, integrity, and an ability to be exceptionally organized and detail oriented.
We are currently hiring for L2 - L3 (senior).
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain lab and production space as a clean environment in good working order
- Execute detailed test plans, including material formulation, testing, and equipment configuration
- Run and maintain a variety of equipment, including 3D printers, mixers, and analytical instruments
- Create detailed documentation of results and observations during test execution
- Play an active role in R&D team discussions, contributing information from your experience to help interpret results and plan upcoming R&D efforts
- Propose, and when appropriate, execute tests autonomously to achieve R&D team goals
- Perform any and all duties required to keep R&D tests moving, including late night store runs and manually babysitting equipment
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ yrs of hands on experience in a manufacturing, research, or R&D environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with lab tools (analytical equipment, scales, pipettes, etc.)
- Great with your hands
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ yrs of wet lab experience
- Experience working with complex equipment and tools
- Experience working in a clean room environment
- Familiarity with lab safety procedures required for hazardous materials
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
Summary Pay Range
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline. Salaries are based on demonstrated candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Level 2: $62,000 - $82,000, plus equity
Level 3 (senior): $78,000 - $105,000, plus equity
