EDI Implementation Specialist

About the Role

As an EDI Implementation Specialist, you will own EDI integrations end to end, from intake through testing, launch, and stabilization. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who is comfortable working directly with technical systems, external partners, and internal development teams.

This role is best suited for someone with strong EDI fundamentals who enjoys problem solving, testing, and implementation work, and who can manage multiple integrations in parallel with minimal oversight.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

• Own tickets representing EDI integrations for external partners from start to finish

• Review and interpret partner specifications and validate fit against existing EDI maps

• Run testing and verification cycles with external partners to ensure integrations meet requirements

• Build net new mappings using internal tooling across common transaction sets when required

• Partner closely with internal engineering teams, providing feedback as tooling and processes evolve

• Communicate directly with external partners during testing and go-live phases (speed and responsiveness matter)

• Troubleshoot issues, resolve errors, and ensure integrations remain stable post-launch

• Track progress across multiple integrations and manage timelines with light project management discipline

Required Skills (Non-Negotiable)

• Strong EDI knowledge with hands-on experience supporting implementations or integrations

• Comfortable working with APIs, Postman, and parsing JSON

• Familiarity with EDI formats; exposure to X12 is preferred

• Strong written and spoken English, including direct communication with external partners

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently and follow through to completion

• Organized, responsive, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment

Nice to Have

• Prior experience as an EDI analyst, implementation specialist, or in a data integration role

• Exposure to logistics or TMS concepts (helpful but not required)

• Experience working with proprietary or in-house integration tools
