About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Executive Assistant / Project Manager to join Raven’s clinical development and patient engagement team, Blackbird.  You will provide comprehensive executive support while also tracking key cross-functional projects to enhance efficiency, coordination, and execution across several external relationships with RA Capitals portfolio companies. This role requires a blend of administrative excellence, project management acumen, and resourceful problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operations in a fast-paced environment. The role provides the opportunity to support both the internal team as well as interact with a broad collection of portfolio companies.

Responsibilities:

Executive & Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to Blackbird’s Clinical Development and Patient Engagement leadership, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and support internal and external meetings — create agendas, gather materials, take notes, and manage follow-up actions.
  • Serve as an administrative liaison between Raven/Blackbird and external partners, ensuring clear, timely communication and follow-up.  Build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Proactively track and coordinate contracts (CDAs, consulting agreements, SOWs) in partnership with Blackbird leadership — including renewals, progress tracking, and billing resolution.

Project Management

  • Develop, maintain, and update project trackers for clinical and cross-functional initiatives using tools like Smartsheet, Notion, or similar platforms.
  • Track project milestones, budgets, and timelines to ensure timely delivery.
  • Create summary reports to communicate key updates, challenges and program status to leadership.
  • Anticipate risks, dependencies, and gaps; collaborate with stakeholders to develop mitigation plans.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance communication, documentation, and efficiency across functions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience supporting senior executives and/or managing cross-functional projects, ideally within a biotech or life sciences environment. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with proficiency in tools such as Smartsheet, Notion, or others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom).
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information and multistakeholder relationships.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities; capable of prioritizing multiple competing demands and knowing when to ask for support.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities.

The base salary range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting. Final compensation will depend on factors like experience, skills, and location. The role may also be eligible for an annual bonus and long-term incentives. Compensation and benefits may be updated in the future.

Salary base range

$90,000 - $150,000 USD

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
