The Role:
Read AI is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth and build strategic relationships. As a key member of the sales team, you will identify and develop partnerships, cultivate new business opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and achieve revenue goals. This is a hands-on role where you’ll leverage your experience in B2B SaaS sales to shape the future of our business development efforts in a dynamic, early-stage startup environment.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand Read AI’s market presence.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with company goals and targets.
- Manage and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at target companies.
- Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to align sales strategies and communicate customer needs and feedback.
- Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualifying leads to negotiating and closing deals.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adapt strategies as needed.
- Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce) to track and manage opportunities and ensure accurate reporting.
- Represent Read AI at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on B2B SaaS or technology solutions.
- Track Record: Demonstrated success in developing and closing high-value partnerships or sales deals, particularly in an early-stage startup environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to identify opportunities, evaluate risks, and develop strategic action plans.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to influence decision-makers and build trust.
- Sales Expertise: Deep understanding of the sales process, account planning, and relationship management.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn and communicate technical concepts and articulate value propositions to diverse audiences.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce) to manage pipelines and drive sales performance.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced team environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 - $130,000 with an additional performance-based variable component that can match the base salary. Actual total compensation will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
