Our company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Team. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

We are looking for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong technical accounting and reporting skills. This individual will play a critical role in streamlining month-end close processes, implementing internal controls, and improving the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in month-end close, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and consolidation/reporting
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial statements and reports
• Manage audit-related requests, including balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up inquiries
• Assist Accounting Leadership with the interpretation of financial data and reporting
• Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and financial reporting procedures
• Document and enhance internal controls, procedures, and policies
• Research and resolve complex accounting issues; perform technical accounting analysis as needed
• Support tax-related activities and local regulatory filings (county, city, state)
• Collaboration with FP&A on monthly financial variance analysis
• Lead and contribute to special projects that drive operational efficiency and reporting improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• CPA Required
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is strongly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Maintains discretion with confidential and sensitive information
