Who we are looking for
The Inspection and Metrology Supervisor leads and coordinates inspection and measurement activities across incoming, in‑process, and final inspection in a manufacturing environment specializing in electro‑mechanical assembly, battery, and machining. This role is primarily supervisory, responsible for planning work, managing people and processes, maintaining inspection systems, and ensuring product conformance. Hands‑on inspection or metrology work is performed as needed for coverage or urgent issues.

- Supervise, schedule, and assign work for incoming, in‑process, and final inspection activities
- Lead, train, coach, and evaluate inspectors and metrology technicians
- Ensure inspection results, records, and product status are accurate, complete, and traceable
- Oversee control and disposition of nonconforming and suspect material; support MRB and corrective actions
- Own the gage control and calibration system, including out‑of‑tolerance response
- Provide oversight of metrology methods and equipment (e.g., CMM, vision systems, precision gages)
- Maintain and improve inspection procedures, work instructions, and documentation
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits as required
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain on inspection planning, supplier quality, and process improvements
- Promote safety, 5S, and continuous improvement within inspection and metrology areas
- Perform hands‑on inspection/metrology for coverage, training, or urgent containment
- Perform other duties as necessary.
What you bring to the Team
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and work experience
- 3-5 years of inspection/metrology experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and inspection practices, GD&T preferred
- Experience with calibration/gage control systems
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficient with MS Office, manufacturing systems and QMS systems
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or clean room environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
