Job Description: Threat Intelligence Analyst – Geopolitical & Digital Risk Focus
The Role: The Research on Request team seeks an experienced analyst to produce consistently high-quality threat intelligence for a diverse client base. In addition to cyber-focused analysis, you will be expected to:
What You'll Do:
- Deliver finished intelligence that addresses client priority intelligence requirements across cyber, geopolitical, digital-risk and kinetic threat domains.
- Engage with clients throughout the report lifecycle—scoping, delivery and follow-up support.
- Develop streamlined, repeatable, or automated workflows to improve research and analysis.
- Track and assess geopolitical developments in one or more of the following regions: Russia, China, Iran or North Korea.
- Research the implications of the geopolitical developments on the cyber threat landscape.
- Conduct open-source investigations on individuals to evaluate their digital risk exposure.
- Identify, analyze and clearly describe kinetic threats where relevant to client environments.
- Collaborate on projects across multiple research teams under tight deadlines.
What You'll Bring :
- Two to three years as a threat intelligence analyst or in a comparable role.
- Demonstrated writing ability (assessed via a sample).
- BA/BS or MA/MS in Computer Science, Information Security, International Relations, Political Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Geopolitical expertise in at least one of: Russia, China, Iran or North Korea, with a track record of assessing state activity and regional dynamics.
- Open-source investigation experience focused on individuals and their digital footprints to inform risk assessments.
- Experience identifying and articulating kinetic threats (e.g., physical attacks, military actions) and their potential impact on clients.
- Proven experience researching and analyzing threats across either multiple industries or multiple timeframes (e.g., weekly and quarterly).
- Ability to translate complex technical and geopolitical concepts into clear written and verbal products.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Working knowledge of at least one non-English language relevant to regions with active or sophisticated cyber operations.
- Documented experience leading or coordinating multi-source cyber or geopolitical investigations.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript or C (hands-on scripting ideal but not mandatory).
