Senior Learning Experience Designer

The Senior Learning Experience Designer at Recorded Future is an expert contributor responsible for transforming complex cybersecurity workflows into high-fidelity instructional content. You will focus on building practical, task-based learning experiences that enable users to effectively navigate and utilize the Recorded Future Platform. By applying advanced instructional methodologies, you will create instructional assets that reduce time-to-value and empower users to solve real-world security challenges.
What You'll Do:
Instructional Design and Curriculum Development:
- Partner with SMEs to deconstruct complex workflows into easy-to-understand learning. You will design and develop assets from labs to CTF-style challenges, to ensure learners can successfully apply technical concepts to real world applications.
- Rapidly translate technical SME workflows into high-quality storyboards for scenario-based applications; ensuring all instructional designs are anchored in a clear understanding of the business problem and focus on real-world skill application.
- Apply advanced adult learning theories to design scenario-based learning and simulations that mirror the daily reality of threat analysts and security engineers.
- Ensure all learning assets meet accessibility standards and inclusive design principles; serving as a resource for technical teams to ensure instructional content is usable by all learners, regardless of ability.
Content Delivery and Project Management:
- Manage the full development cycle for complex instructional projects, ensuring deliverables are accurate and meet established quality standards.
- Execute a thorough review process; quality assurance, for all assets, verifying technical functionality, brand consistency, and instructional integrity before launch.
- Work autonomously to coordinate with SMEs for technical information and deliver learning assets that align with project timelines.
What You'll Bring:
- Expert proficiency using Articulate Rise and Camtasia.
- Demonstrated ability to apply accessibility standards to all digital learning assets.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and personas.
- Experience delivering learning programs in a SaaS environment.
- Instructional Design certificate required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical experience with LMS functionality and technical standards (SCORM/xAPI) to ensure seamless content deployment; ability to use basic learning data to identify areas for content improvement.
- Expert proficiency in Articulate Storyline.
