Recursion is at the forefront of reimagining drug discovery through the integration of automated cell biology, high-dimensional and diverse data sets, and sophisticated analytics. You will leverage your strong track record of advancing precision medicines in early phase oncology clinical trials to lead operational oversight and execution for one or more program(s) across our growing pipeline of novel small molecule therapeutics in cancer. You will need a unique combination of strong fundamentals in clinical development and the ability to be creative and effective in delivering clinical operations strategy for each program.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee and lead all aspects of clinical trial execution for one or more programs from IND through proof-of-concept and pivotal studies
- Contribute to clinical development strategy, clin tech initiatives, and iterative improvement of process and systems to optimize and accelerate trial execution
- Serve as Clinical Operations subject matter expert on program teams and trial document generation including protocols, informed consent, trial management plans, etc.
- Utilize strong therapeutic area and operational expertise to enhance innovation and efficiency in clinical trial design and execution
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide leadership to clinical operations team and/or direct reports, including, but not limited to Clinical Trial Associates, Clinical Trial Managers, and/or Clinical Project Managers
The Team You’ll Join
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Operations, you will be an essential member of the Recursion Development Team and a leader within the Clinical Operations team, who are dedicated to operational excellence across our programs. The Development Team is an empowered, execution-minded group of drug development professionals responsible for translating Recursion’s innovative science to patients through clinical development activities.
The Experience You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field
- 8-10+ years of progressive experience in clinical operations roles within the biopharmaceutical industry with:
- at least 3+ years most recent experience at a small or midsize biotech working in a nimble, highly cross functional team environment, and,
- at least 3-5+ years of people management/leadership experience within a biotech organization
- Early phase (Phase 1, 2) oncology experience at a biotech/Sponsor is required
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of clinical trial processes from Phase 1 through pivotal studies, including principles for accelerated trial execution
- Demonstrated track-record of efficient and effective clinical trial planning and execution, including risk management and mitigation strategies
- Excellent working knowledge of FDA, ICH, GCP regulations and guidelines
- An understanding of relationship management principles across diverse internal and external stakeholders over the course of a clinical development program
- Willingness and ability to travel to sites, conferences and Recursion offices as needed
Working Location & Compensation:
This position is ideally based at our office located in New York City but may also be located in our Salt Lake City headquarters. Please note that we are a hybrid environment and ask that employees spend 50% of their time in the office. Relocation support can be provided for this role.
At Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is $184,000 to $277,400 (USD). You will also be eligible for an annual bonus and equity compensation, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
