As a Practice Director of Services at Elastic, you will lead, nurture, grow and manage our Services Consulting teams within the EMEA business. You will amplify our culture for innovation, continuous learning and inspire our teams to stretch further and apply their world-class talent to ensure our customers achieve successful outcomes.
Our customers include Fortune 100 companies, startups, government entities, and nonprofits researching some of the world's most interesting and complex search problems, and our Professional Services teams assist and lead our customers in the use of our products towards these efforts.
This role will require you to manage, grow and provide strategic direction for our growing services consulting teams; supporting the delivery of our Services Consulting business and assisting grow this business. You will be accountable for driving new propositions & service offers, meeting financial targets, and building strong relationships both within Elastic and with our customers and partners. You will provide CTO support to our most significant engagements and carry a utilisation target for these.
Responsibilities:
- Practice Strategy - Driving the definition, communication and successful implementation of the EMEA Consulting growth strategy
- Business Leadership - taking accountability for achieving critical business Services KPIs for the practice
- Culture - Promote, grow and nurture an environment that encourages innovation, a challenger mindset, points-of-views (POVs) and celebrates the success of our team and customers. Be a champion for our Source Code.
- Culture of Innovation & Learning: You will champion & promote a culture of innovation across the practice that allows us to grow a world class consulting service to our customers
- Best Practice and Assurance - Ensure we continually adopt and successfully implement the practices, methods and approaches to successfully deliver against our customer commitments both locally within EMEA and globally.
- Mentor and Promote: You will leverage your technical and architecture background to assist and mentor EMEA Practice team members solve issues with our customers and also plan their own career development plans
- Project Leadership: You will actively contribute to & steer our most significant delivery projects
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 experience in relevant professional services organisation experiencing rapid growth rooted in the implementation of technology projects.
- Have a thorough understanding of project delivery and undertaken CTO type roles within these
- Proficiency in the value and delivery aspects of the technology domain of search, analytics, security or related technologies and be willing to thoroughly learn the Elastic platform technologies.
- Proven track record of building build and deep sustained relationships with strategic clients
- Track-record of transforming and rapidly scaling a Professional Services organisation while preserving the quality and securing new talent and been successful as a practice/business leaders
- Evidence of having led to the growth of a services business through actions such as: developing best practices, improving sizing, advancing offerings, etc.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including internationally

- Utilise industry expertise and business acumen to understand a customer's motivation, business drivers, strategic goals and objectives, and desired business outcomes
- Create a compelling vision and clearly communicate our ambition to internal teams to drive alignment, excitement and buy-in to evolve.
- Be a recognized role model for collaboration, leadership and overall business results
- Form a strong relationship with the License Sales organisation and regional Alliances/Partner organisations that are instrumental to success and growth
