Distribution Center Supervisor, 2nd Shift

Distribution Center Supervisor:
DC Supervisors are self-starters able to work in an autonomous environment. An analytical thinker willing to use data and root cause analysis to drive his/her decisions. He/She will be responsible for the performance, safety, and quality of our Outbound or Inbound departments ensuring all budgeted costs and SLAs are met.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for our Outbound or Inbound departments. Lead and motivate 50+ reports within a time-sensitive environment ensuring all SLAs are achieved within budget
- Develop staffing models to plan and allocate labor efficiently. Analyze performance metrics to achieve production goals and drive continuous improvement
- Provide end-of-shift reporting bridging any missed production goals with corrective actions
- Coach, train, and develop Ref employees by providing both informal (e.g. on-floor coaching) and formal (e.g. written evaluation) job performance feedback
- Stress and instill the importance of quality within the Distribution Center. Perform department audits to ensure all standards are sustained
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively
- Partner with the People team and staffing agencies to recruit and develop team members
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with all OSHA regulations
- Understand and be able to learn industry-specific technology
What You’ll Need:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, fulfillment environment required
- Flexible, punctual, and reliable. Able to work 10-hour shifts and weekends
- Knowledge of Lean, JIT, and 5S principles a plus
- Working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets to merge and analyze information is a must
- Data-driven decision maker and analytical thinker; able to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Computers
- Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product up to 40 lbs
- Great organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
