Role Overview
The Senior Data Engineer reports to the Product Manager and operates within the Product Management organization.
This role bridges product strategy, data operations, and technical implementation, ensuring that Reltio’s internal data ecosystem serves as a reliable, intelligent, and scalable source of contextual truth. The position combines systems thinking, hands-on configuration, integration development, automation, and data governance execution.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, analytically rigorous, and highly motivated to expand into emerging technologies — particularly in AI. Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong desire to continuously learn are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, HR, Sales, and Data Stewards to define and implement enterprise data strategies and governance frameworks.
- Configure and optimize Reltio’s platform to support evolving business and product requirements.
- Design and implement integrations across enterprise systems using modern cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Build and maintain data pipelines and process flows ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data models and system designs.
- Drive data quality initiatives, including monitoring, cleansing, deduplication, and anomaly detection.
- Develop automation workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Support AI-driven initiatives by preparing high-quality datasets and exploring use cases involving machine learning, anomaly detection, and contextual intelligence.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies in AI, automation, and data engineering to enhance product and operational capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of programming, analysis, or systems design experience using Python, or similar languages.
- Strong SQL and database experience.
- Experience working with JSON and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with data integrations and ETL tools (e.g., Workato, MuleSoft, Talend).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery) and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Qlik, Data Studio).
- Ability to design and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data workflows and governance principles.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and martech platforms such as Marketo.
- Experience in data science or machine learning, including anomaly detection or predictive analytics.
- Exposure to AI-driven product features or experimentation in AI workflows.
