What this job can offer you

This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as Deal Desk Specialist within our Revenue Operations and Acceleration team.

We're seeking a highly motivated, proactive, collaborative, and engaged specialist to join our team. You'll work alongside the current Deal Desk and Bid Specialist and the Manager for Deal Desk.

In this role, you'll be a key partner to the Sales organization and the Revenue Operations team. You'll provide support, help structure key sales processes, and deliver first-class Deal Desk expertise and insights. The ideal candidate should be able to lead cross-functional initiatives, communicate effectively across teams and time zones, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

What you bring

  • Relevant work experience with demonstrated familiarity in the Enterprise SaaS/B2B industry. Deal Desk, Order Management, Finance Operations, Sales Operations, or Pricing experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to partner with Go-To-Market teams and other cross-functional departments.
  • Basic understanding of revenue recognition rules.
  • Highly organized, customer-focused, innovative, and resourceful in gathering key information. Able to navigate ambiguity and balance stakeholder needs with a consistently positive attitude.
  • Excellent communicator with outstanding written, oral, and presentation skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize during high-volume periods. Schedule flexibility required for End of Month, Quarter, and Year End.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to effectively navigate and strategically leverage large volumes of information.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in an unstructured and fast-paced environment.
  • Salesforce experience – MUST (Admin skills preferred).
  • CPQ knowledge (preferred).
  • Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in G Suite.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Alignment with and adherence to our company values.
  • Remote work experience is not required but considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the trusted advisor to the Sales team on deal structure and quoting.
  • Investigate opportunities and design solutions to automate Deal Desk processes.
  • Support the Manager, Deal Desk in assisting with deal structure and quoting. Advise the sales team on alternative contract options and value propositions to help drive accurate deal closure.
  • Assist in interpreting contractual language and escalate issues to ensure deals comply with revenue recognition and operational policies.
  • Manage day-to-day quote management and pricing approvals, ensuring compliance with published sales and business approval policies.
  • Monitor the Deal Desk case queue to provide general assistance and advice on common deal and Quote to Cash / Billing process questions.
  • Partner with Field Sales to accelerate the quoting process through operational efficiencies and training calls.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end deal desk operations to ensure smooth closing.
  • Develop and drive initiatives to improve productivity, enhance Deal Desk operations, refine company deal policies, and simplify processes throughout the Sales Operations and Sales Organization.
  • Oversee Monthly Reconciliation processes.
  • Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, revenue recognition, and commission calculations.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in how the Sales team accesses and consumes Deal Desk-related knowledge and content, and recommend solutions.
  • Partner with Sales Operations on process/system improvements and special projects.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to increase revenue growth across all products (e.g., discounting).

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce.  We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $29,100 USD to $65,500 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.

Therefore, all compensation changes associated with an internal move will be reviewed by the Total Rewards & People Enablement team on a case by case basis.
