
Field Technician (Field Mechanic)

We’re looking for a Field Technician I (Mechanic) to become an essential part of our dynamic team. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to work with cutting-edge equipment, travel across the beautiful Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region, and develop new skills in an ever-evolving field. You’ll be traveling to various regional project sites, performing maintenance, and making repairs on a wide variety of trucks, trailers, and heavy construction equipment.

A Day in the Life
- Travel to various project sites across the region to maintain and repair equipment such as excavators, multi-terrain skid loaders, UTVs, dump trucks, trailers, and more.
- Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of mechanical issues, from engine and transmission systems to hydraulics, cooling systems, and air brakes.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections, ensuring all equipment is ready for use.
- Replace undercarriage components, repair hydraulic leaks, and weld parts to keep machines in top condition.
- Stay on top of routine maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills.
- Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level.
We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing auto/truck and construction equipment.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (to hit the road with ease).
- A strong understanding of diagnostic tools, including scan tools and software, and hands-on experience with air/electric tools and pressure gauges.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance schedules and fluid requirements based on manufacturer guidelines.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of conditions.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- A high school diploma or GED is ideal.
- A passion for learning and continuing education in repair and maintenance practices.
- Trade school certifications or ASE Certification (or in progress) would be a big plus.
- Familiarity with FED DOT Inspection requirements.
- A CDL would make you a standout candidate.
