People Operations Specialist

About the role
We are seeking a People Operations Specialist to help create a seamless and supportive experience for every employee at Reserv. In this role, you will manage key processes throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to HR support, while acting as a trusted partner to both team members and leadership. You will bring a blend of empathy, organization, and problem-solving skills to a fast-paced, remote environment where we value initiative, clear communication, and continuous improvement. For this position, you must reside in the US, excluding California, Hawaii, and Alaska.
The compensation range for this role is $65k-75k based on experience and skills.
What we need
We need you to do all the things typical to the role:
End-to-End Employee Support: Oversee People activities throughout the entire employee lifecycle at Reserv, including onboarding, ongoing HR inquiries, and offboarding.
Onboarding
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition stakeholders to gather necessary information for seamless employee onboarding.
- Ensure accurate onboarding in the HRIS (Rippling) while adhering to internal policies and external regulations.
- Facilitate People Ops orientation for new employees on their first day.
- Complete work authorizations and background checks
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Coordinate and manage equipment allocation for employees throughout their tenure.
- Act as a primary point of contact for team members, addressing questions and guiding them through various inquiries.
- Work with PEO support teams to respond to employee questions related to PEO services as needed.
Confidentiality and Compliance
- Safeguard the confidentiality of core HR data and projects.
- Stay informed on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and implement necessary changes.
HR Programs and Processes
- Support the execution of HR initiatives related to workforce planning, employee engagement, performance reviews, promotions, and talent development in a remote work environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency in People Operations.
Efficiency and Automation
- Seek out ways to improve processes and implement automation where possible.
- Maintain and regularly update internal HR documentation, policies, and systems.
HRIS Expertise

- Keep employee records accurate and up to date, serving as the resident expert on Rippling.
Requirements
Who you are
- 2+ years of experience in People Operations (HR)
- Proficient with HR systems (preferably Rippling)
- High emotional and social intelligence with experience fostering positive, strong relationships with diverse groups of people
- Strong interpersonal skills, good intuition, and the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently to manage multiple ongoing projects and programs with high attention to detail and organizational skills
- Decisive problem solver with a "get it done" attitude who thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
- Exceptional ethics around confidentiality and highly sensitive information
- Keen to continue learning and developing their skill set, having a growth mindset
- Passionate about people and systems
- Proficiency with tech tools: Apple Computer, Google Suite, and Slack.
