This position will physically report to the Resident manufacturing plant in Jeffersonville, IN. 

 

About the Role

As Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible to receive and inspect shipments and ensure all supplier orders are received into Netsuite immediately upon receipt.  All receipts need to accurately reflect what was delivered.  As time allows, the receiving clerk will also work on the organization of stored raw materials, the labeling of raw materials and the set-up of rack locations to facilitate that storage. The receiving clerk will also perform cycle counts and assist in the unloading of material as needed.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Verify physical quantity of material unloaded to the delivery quantity reflected on the shipping paperwork.
  • Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries 
  • Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
  • Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, etc.) from incoming trucks
  • Organize and maintain foam storage areas 
  • Enforce FIFO of material being pulled from foam storage.
  • Work with vendors to establish delivery window times.
  • Must be able to utilize the RF Scanner to receive material and to accurately move the material in the Netsuite system to its specific storage location.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations (use of chock blocks when unloading trailers, the use of jack stands when entering spotted trailers, etc).
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
  • Operate a stand up/ sit down forklift, reach truck and scissor lift for a variety of tasks such as unloading trucks, moving materials, placing goods/ materials in storage racking, etc. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years shipping / receiving clerk experience.
  • Good communication skills – written and oral.
  • Ability to plan and organize – good time management skills.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Cooperative, team oriented, patient, and able to work independently.
  • Material handling experience

The employee will generally be housed in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.  Personal Protective Equipment is provided and required.
