Technology Intern - AI and Automation  

Join our dynamic team this summer as a Technology Intern – AI and Automation for a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). The AI and Automation Intern will play a crucial role in advancing our AI initiatives and automation projects. By developing an AI SharePoint site, exploring AI use cases, and creating data extraction prompts, this intern will help streamline our operations and enhance productivity. Their work will support our goal of leveraging AI to improve efficiency and drive innovation within Rexford. Additionally, they will create automations to add data from extracted documents into Excel templates. 

Location: Hybrid – Los Angeles, CA

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop a comprehensive AI SharePoint site that serves as a one-stop shop for Rexford AI resources, including recordings, best practices, use cases, resources, statistics, and more. 
  • Explore AI use cases such as voice-to-text applications to improve efficiency and productivity. 
  • Design and create prompts for extracting data from documents, streamlining data processing and analysis. 
  • Create automations to add data from extracted documents into Excel templates. 

Qualifications: 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,

    or a related field. 

  • Strong interest in AI and automation technologies. 
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts and tools, ideally Copilot. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) 
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or similar content management systems is a plus. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

The expected hourly rate for this role is $20. *The actual base salary and total compensation offered depend on a variety of factors, which include, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location where the job will be performed. The final base salary and total compensation will be described in any offer letter.

*These stock grants are subject to approval by the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, are currently subject to vesting over a four-year period, with 25% of the grant vesting per year, and require continued employment on the grant date and each applicable vesting date. Actual bonus and stock grants are discretionary based on company and/or individual performance determined by Rexford Industrial in its sole discretion, and the amount of any such bonus and/or stock grant may be less or more than the targets (and may be zero).
