Role Summary:
Riboli Family Wines is seeking a Cellar Technician II to support our Paso Robles winery. This role performs a wide range of cellar operations including wine movements, barrel work, sanitation, and assisting with blending and bottling preparation. The ideal candidate will have prior winery or physically demanding labor experience and be comfortable working in a hands-on production environment with varying responsibilities throughout the year. Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours during harvest is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Current duties may be changed if the job requires and/or additional duties may be assigned if necessary.
- Perform all aspects of cellar work including racking, pumping, clarifying, and blending juice and wine.
- Assist with wine movements between tanks, barrels, and blending vessels.
- Conduct barrel work including filling, washing, sanitizing, and stacking barrels.
- Clean and sanitize cellar and bottling equipment, including tanks, hoses, and pumps.
- Operate winery equipment such as pumps, forklifts, and other production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Accurately read gauges and record production measurements.
- Maintain a clean and organized cellar environment while following all company sanitation procedures.
- Follow all company safety policies, work rules, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain excellent attendance, work performance, and safety record.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating with the production team.
Education, Experience, & Skills Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 3+ years of manual labor experience involving consistent heavy lifting; winery cellar experience preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to move, change, and connect pumps and hoses to pipelines.
- Ability to accurately read gauges and maintain production records.
- Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts, including weekends during harvest.
Physical Requirements
- Active production role requiring standing, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to climb stairs and vertical tank ladders up to 30 feet.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, including entering tanks through manways when required.
- Ability to repeatedly perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

$24 - $28 USD
