AR Billing Specialist

Location: Rise Corporate Office – Houston, TX
Employment Status: Full-Time

Position Overview

Rise Association Management Group is seeking an AR Billing Specialist to manage the receivables process for a portfolio of community associations and provide guidance to one team member. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to balance individual work with light team oversight.

The AR Billing Specialist will be responsible for collections, accurate posting of payments, compliance with state laws and association policies, new homeowner account setups, resale processing, and closing documentation, while delivering timely and accurate reporting to managers and boards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Collections (30%)

  • Manage the full receivables process for assigned associations, ensuring timely homeowner payments.
  • Generate and distribute monthly statements, delinquency notices, and late fee notifications in accordance with Texas Property Code and governing documents.
  • Partner with attorneys and third-party agencies on escalated delinquency cases, monitoring and reporting on activity.
  • Post payments, process adjustments, and maintain accurate ledgers within accounting software (CINC Systems preferred).
  • Ensure compliance with collection policies, governing documents, and applicable state laws.

Team Support (20%)

  • Provide guidance and day-to-day support to one team member.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in AR tasks.
  • Help foster a collaborative, professional work environment.

Client Communication & Reporting (20%)

  • Respond to homeowner inquiries regarding balances, payment plans, and disputes with clarity and professionalism.
  • Prepare and share aging reports with Community Association Managers and Boards of Directors.

Closings & New Account Setup (30%)

  • Process new homeowner account setups to ensure billing accuracy from the start of ownership.
  • Manage resale certificates, condo questionnaires, and closing documents in compliance with governing documents and Texas Property Code.
  • Coordinate with title companies, realtors, and attorneys to confirm account balances and resolve outstanding financial obligations during property transfers.
  • Ensure smooth, timely completion of resale and closing processes for all parties involved.

 

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in accounts receivable, HOA collections, or property management accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/management software (CINC Systems preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of AR processes, collection procedures, and financial principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations diplomatically.

Preferred

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience.

 

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience.
