Maintenance Technician

Location: South Padre Island, Texas (78597)
Pay Range: $14.00/hour
Employment Status: Full-Time

Position Overview

Rise Association Management Group is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Technician to support the daily maintenance and upkeep of a residential property in South Padre Island, TX.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and can work independently while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained community environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, responsive, and willing to assist with a variety of maintenance and property support tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Property Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general interior and exterior maintenance tasks
• Complete basic repairs including painting, drywall patching, and minor carpentry work
• Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance issues as needed
• Conduct daily property walks to identify maintenance or safety concerns
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of common areas and exterior spaces
• Assist with trash management, porter duties, and debris removal
• Support preventive maintenance projects and routine property upkeep
• Power wash exterior areas and assist with seasonal maintenance tasks

Property Operations Support

• Communicate maintenance concerns and project updates to management
• Coordinate with vendors and onsite staff as needed
• Ensure all work is completed safely and according to property standards
• Respond professionally to resident and management requests

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

• Previous maintenance, facilities, porter, or property upkeep experience preferred
• Experience in condominium, hotel, apartment, or multifamily properties is a plus

Skills & Abilities

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete tasks independently
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance required
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities throughout the day
• Professional attitude and team-oriented mindset

Other Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work assigned schedule consistently

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: OFF
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday: OFF
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits

• $14.00 per hour
