About the Role

Rocket Lawyer’s existing Paid Digital program is poised for growth and we are seeking an experienced Senior Paid Digital Marketing Manager to shape, build, and grow our paid digital program across paid media channels such as Paid Social, CTV, Programmatic, video advertising, and other emerging channels. This is an exciting time to join the marketing team as we explore new channels, tactics, and approaches to grow our business. In this instrumental role, you are responsible for building, optimizing, and growing an innovative paid digital marketing program, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and identifying new opportunities to drive growth. This highly visible role develops the strategy and drives the ongoing optimization of the paid digital channels with an eye toward delivering product awareness, cost-efficient new customer acquisition, and ultimately, profitable revenue growth. You will collaborate closely across marketing, product, finance, business intelligence, and data engineering –  communicating strategy, performance results, learning, and requirements. 

The successful candidate has experience in driving paid digital growth, ideally within a SaaS business, and demonstrates proficiency across all aspects of program management including contracts/negotiation, platform/partner management, campaign development, marketing tools and tracking, performance / budget analysis, and data-driven decision making. You will own the development and execution of data-driven audience-targeting strategies that prioritize first-party data. The ideal candidate holds the customer at the center of everything and is a creative problem solver and analytical thinker who can manage media effectiveness measurement strategies, leveraging tools like multi-touch attribution (MTA), media mix modeling (MMM), and match market testing (MMT). The ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious, autonomous, a team player, and has a high attention to detail. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Manage an annual strategy and execution roadmap for sustained year-over-year growth. Optimize and operationalize an innovative audience strategy across paid social, CTV, programmatic, and YouTube, prioritizing the use of first-party data.
  • Budgets: Actively manage our investment strategy and media plans effectively, ensuring cost efficiency and scalability. Regularly assess our media mix and leverage insights to make informed investment decisions.
  • Campaign Management: In partnership with our agency and ad platform partners, execute and optimize campaigns across multiple channels, managing a test-and-learn roadmap to continuously enhance performance. Align your campaigns with the Rocket Lawyer marketing calendar to maximize business impact. 
  • Measurement & Optimization: Implement optimization strategies to improve business performance and ensure that our message reaches the right audience in the right places. Collaborate cross-functionally on media measurement strategies, utilizing MTA, MMM, and MMT frameworks to provide actionable insights and maximize the effectiveness of channel investments. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Growth, Product, and Finance teams to inform and implement integrated go-to-market strategies, contributing to company growth targets. Collaborate closely with our Content and Design teams to provide ad platform partners with engaging marketing materials and best-in-class ad creative. Partner with our Business Intelligence team to understand program impact, monitor performance on campaigns and analyze performance metrics, track KPIs, and optimize campaigns to maximize ROI; Produce regular monthly and quarterly updates of results, learnings, and plans.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on marketing experience, in which 3-5 years of experience should directly be managing paid digital channels, including paid social, CTV, programmatic, and video advertising
  • SaaS business preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Proven track record of success in paid digital, paid media, growth marketing, emerging channels, or similar
  • Understanding of media measurement methodologies (MTA, MMM, MMT) and the ability to turn data insights into effective campaign optimizations
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational, project, and time management skills to balance multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results on schedule
  • Data-driven, analytical mindset with a good understanding of Marketing KPIs and familiarity with Google Sheets or Excel
  • Detailed, analytical, strategic, and customer-focused
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can roll up his/her sleeves to build best-in-class marketing practices
  • Deep familiarity with all performance metrics including CPA, CPL, CPC, LTV, and ROAS
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams
