Attorney for Document Review (Remote in Arizona)
About the Role
The Attorney for Document Review will lead a team of paralegals to review customers’ legal documents and answer related questions about their legal situations. As a leader within RLPS, you will leverage innovative Rocket Lawyer technology and develop operational efficiencies that reduce fulfillment costs while enhancing quality and responsiveness. Responsibilities
- Review legal documents and answer legal questions from Rocket Lawyer customers
- Provide oversight of paralegals reviewing documents and answering questions from Rocket Lawyer customers
- Recruit, train, and evaluate the performance of paralegals serving Rocket Lawyer customers
- Help manage innovative programs that expand the ability to provide direct legal services. This may include drafting and tracking applications for RLPS participation in the innovative programs, providing progress reports, and communicating with government agencies and representatives
- Help design onboarding programs that ensure positive, enthusiasm-building learning experiences for legal professionals who join the RLPS team
- Help develop and provide regular training and educational activities to ensure high levels of competency for the Document Review team
- Track the performance of legal services to ensure all key business metrics are met or exceeded
- Work cross-functionally with colleagues to ensure that professional legal services are supported with solid customer experiences on all Rocket Lawyer platforms and applications
- Help develop talent management programs that retain top-performing legal professionals
- Oversee documentation and credential management of Document Review paralegals, both when newly hired and annually
- Persistently analyze the effectiveness of RLPS programs, using feedback from both customers and staff
- Ensure compliance with applicable internal processes
- Provide thoughtful and meaningful input on departmental and organizational goals
- Participate in or lead other projects as needed by RLPS leaders
Requirements
- Graduate of an American Bar Association-approved law school
- Licensed attorney in good standing with an impeccable reputation for integrity
- 3+ years experience as a licensed attorney
- Generalist attorney comfortable with providing legal information to a wide variety of customers across a broad area of legal categories
- Strength in one or more of the following practice areas: Business Formation/Corporate Compliance, Business Contracts, Employment, Landlord/Tenant
- Capacity to remotely lead a staff of legal professionals
- Ability to build trust, foster strong working relationships, and collaboratively work with stakeholders of all levels to generate positive outcomes
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to distill and convey information in a concise and compelling manner
- A strong work ethic with disciplined execution skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Comfortable using all of the technology necessary to work within the company and the technology necessary to interact efficiently and effectively with our customers
- Self-starter who enjoys problem-solving with minimal direct supervision

Actual compensation packages are determined by various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, specific work location, and performance during the interview process.
