Manager Title: Chief Information Officer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Head of Solution Design and Delivery (SD&D) to lead and manage the Solution Design and Delivery team within the IT department at Roivant. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, a passion for innovation, and the ability to lead high-performing teams in a complex, fast-paced, and regulated environment.
This team will focus on requirements gathering, enterprise / technical architecture, application and solution design, application and solution development and delivery, and post go live support of Roivant enterprise solutions.
The leader will focus on forecasting technical supply/demand, architecting solutions, designing, developing, testing, and delivering new solutions. These new solutions will then be maintained by this team for ongoing support and maintenance. This leadership position will provide requirements gathering, design, delivery, and support expertise throughout all phases of a project.
This includes overseeing technical teams in the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into application designs and software solutions and working to ensure all solutions are properly supported post go-live. In addition to strategy and vision, this person will need to roll up their sleeves and be involved in multiple projects across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the SD&D team, fostering a high-performance culture that values collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team. Provide coaching and guidance to ensure team members are equipped with the skills, tools, and opportunities for growth and development.
- Execute on and direct team members through all system development lifecycle phases by ensuring that teams understand and adhere to to-be developed methodology, policies, standards, and controls
- Technical leadership and execution in SaaS infrastructure, endpoint management, design-thinking, and support practices
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy that supports the company’s overall goals.
- Build and review design, development and support strategy, and plan for strategic programs
- Drive the continuous improvement of IT operations by implementing automations, streamlining workflows, and reducing manual intervention.
- Ability to discovery and understand company and team needs to evaluate and source tools and other solutions as needed
- Build strong professional working relationships across all levels within the organization
- Partner with the Information Security team to ensure all operations meet the required cybersecurity standards and regulatory compliance, particularly in relation to industry-specific guidelines such as 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR, and SOX.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, technology partners, and service providers. Negotiate contracts, evaluate service performance, and ensure their adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years in IT operations, technical operations, or a related field, with at least 10 years in a leadership role. Experience in the biopharma or life sciences sector is highly preferred.
- Deep technical knowledge of IT operations, systems architecture, cloud computing, systems administration, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Strong program and project management skills, with experience delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess IT operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Okta administration
- Successful leadership of Endpoint Management & Identity and Access Management programs
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining application integrations technologies (i.e. Gitlab or other CI/CD, Python, utilizing JSON, Concourse, etc + off the shelf integration tools i.e. Boomi, Mulesoft, etc)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience presenting to senior IT and business colleagues
- Strong intuition regarding portfolio and financial decisions and business needs
- Consultative skills and mentality with good listening skills with ability to make timely well-informed decisions
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a growing company and to manage change effectively
- A driver of change, anticipating the future of the business is expected. The successful candidate must build credibility within the organization at all levels to mobilize teams and lead them in new directions
- Preferred experience managing application design and development services and systems including tools such as adverse events, regulatory submissions, statistical analysis, clinical trial management, CRM, & Financial ERP
Base salary for this role will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market conditions. The expected base salary for the role will generally be between $220,000 - $235,000 per year at the commencement of employment, but the final salary offered may be outside this range based on individual circumstances and business and market conditions.
Base salary if hired is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include other components such as discretionary bonuses, equity, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and Roivant reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance and business and market conditions.
