To accomplish this mission, Rondo is deploying low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to significantly decarbonize industrial processes that are commonly thought of as "difficult-to-decarbonize". Our Heat Batteries charge from intermittent renewables to provide high temperature, continuous heat for customers safely, reliably, at an unprecedented 98% efficiency - and at a cost point that is lower than any other method.
We are looking for an innovative Integration Engineer to join our team and help repower industrial heat at scale. In this role, you will be responsible for design integration tools across all EPC (Electronic Power Control) projects. You will also design systems, components, and tooling to support the large-scale deployment of the Rondo Heat Battery for industrial processes alongside the greater Mechanical Engineering team.

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to):
- Manage Federated Models.
- Facilitate CAD data integration from internal and external sources.
- Work with the engineering teams to assess component and system layouts in CAD.
- Create CAD models where needed.
- Help create and manage Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Lead CAD model reviews and clash checking.
- Facilitate design discussions between internal teams and external partners.
- Help others use Navisworks and access federated models.
- Coordinate and integrate the models produced by the Design Team, Trade Contractors, and other third-party vendors.
- Perform required analysis to ensure a successful design (stress, strain, thermal, tolerance, cost and mass optimization, etc.).
- Lead 3D modeling within design coordination and design review meetings.
- Communicate effectively and timely to stakeholders and engineering teams.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+/- years in Engineering with basic Field Construction experience.
- The ability to lead and influence when needed; a proven track-record of success in highly collaborative environments.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD.
- Foundational understanding of heat transfer and thermal management.
- Experience working on highly integrated infrastructure projects.
- Experience being the point of contact; interfacing with suppliers and outside resources.
- Flexibility, openness, and creative problem-solving.
- The ability to leading large-scale projects.
- Ability to bring many different groups together, but also be a hands-on Individual contributor.
- A growth and mentoring mindset, and in time ability to manage a small group of engineers and designers.
- Confidence in owning overall design models, mitigating downstream ripple effects to support design & construction modifications in real-time.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with high-temperature materials.
- Previous industrial / manufacturing building design experience.

This role necessitates being on-site at our Alameda HQ 3-4 days per week. The estimated annual salary range for a candidate in the Bay Area is $135,000 to $165,000 plus equity in an early-stage, rapidly scaling global company. Additionally, you would be eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above. Your level and corresponding compensation package will be determined based on many factors throughout the interview process. Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidates' diverse sets of skill levels and experience.
