Senior Quality Engineer

Alameda, CA

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our team and repower industrial heat at scale. This role defines and implements scalable quality processes in the Engineering Department, mitigating risk and controlling quality for our product lines, and driving continuous improvements through reviews, audits, and lessons learned programs.

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to): 

  • Define quality processes in engineering and product design, including design reviews, concerns tracking, FMEA and other risk assessing tools, document control, regulatory compliance, and change management.
  • Facilitate cross-functional reviews including design review, FMEA, change reviews, and lessons learned. 
  • Audit adherence to quality processes and report to senior leadership on KPI’s.
  • Conduct management reviews semi-annually to define gaps and continuous improvement plans.
  • Support ISO9001 development, working with Rondo’s central quality team.

 

What You Will Bring: 

  • Proven experience in building and auditing quality processes in hardware product development.
  • A strong understanding of design and document control, quality processes in an engineering development environment, FMEA, with a track record of successfully implementing quality frameworks in fast-paced, cross-functional teams. 
  • Experience navigating regulatory requirements.

  • Experience navigating regulatory requirements. 
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management standards. 
  • Expertise with PLM/document control systems.

This role necessitates being on-site at our headquarters in Alameda The estimated annual salary range for this role is $165,000 to $200,000 and it would be eligible for Rondo's excellent benefits listed above plus additional compensation in the form of equity. Please note that some pay bands may have wide ranges of compensation to accommodate candidates' diverse sets of skill levels and experience.
