Overview

RTW Investments is seeking a highly motivated and curious AI/ML Data Scientist with 2–3 years of experience to join our team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about Large Language Models (LLMs), data-driven solutions, and cutting-edge AI technologies. You will collaborate with senior data scientists and engineers to design, implement, and optimize AI/ML solutions that deliver real business impact.

This role is a unique opportunity to become an important part of the team at RTW.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior team members to develop and deploy AI/ML models for real-world applications.
• Work with Databricks for data processing, feature engineering, and model training at scale.
• Explore and experiment with LLMs for use cases such as text analytics, summarization, and knowledge extraction.
• Leverage Knowledge Graphs (as a user) for data enrichment and semantic reasoning (experience desirable but not mandatory).
• Translate technical output to non technical audience.
• Assist in building pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and model deployment.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in AI/ML and proactively share insights with the team.

 

Required Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (required and strongly valued).
• Basic understanding and practical exposure to LLMs (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, or similar).
• Solid understanding of data manipulation, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong sense of curiosity.

 

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Exposure to Knowledge Graphs and graph-based data models.
• Experience with AI/ML model development beyond basic implementations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Financial services experience (hedge funds, investment bank, PE/VC).
• Healthcare industry experience (highly valued but not required.
