VP Data Analytics

Rush Street Interactive is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Data Analytics to lead our data initiatives in the rapidly growing sectors of online real-money gaming, online casinos, and sportsbooks. This role demands a strategic thinker who can drive data-driven decisions, enhance business intelligence capabilities, and support the company’s growth through innovative analytics solutions and teams.

 

What You Will Do:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Provide strategic direction for the data analytics function, aligning and influencing the company’s overall objectives.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that supports business growth and operational efficiency by evaluating and identifying the areas for product teams to focus on that will drive the biggest impact to business KPIs.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Oversee the collection, storage, and processing of large data sets from various sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and scalable data insights.
  • Develop and maintain advanced analytics models, including predictive modeling, customer segmentation, customer LTV, financial projections, and marketing mix analysis.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to create and present actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Innovation and Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to leverage machine learning and AI to enhance data analytics capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data analytics practices.
  • Implement automation tools and techniques to streamline data processing and analysis.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Partner with key stakeholders across marketing, product, operations, engineering, finance, compliance, and other departments to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to non-technical audiences.
  • Support cross-functional projects by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

 

All About You:

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of managing large data sets and delivering impactful business insights.
  • Experience in the consumer technology, mobile gaming, online casino, or sportsbook industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in advanced analytics techniques such as multivariate regression analysis, predictive modeling, and ROI measurement.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Expertise with A/B testing tools.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative field.
  • Experience working in technology, consulting, or finance.
  • Proven track record of leadership in business intelligence, analytics, or related roles, with at least 7 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience leveraging data to drive revenue growth and user engagement.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools and platforms, such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
